2021 Amendments and Resolutions

Each year, NLG members propose amendments and resolutions for review and vote of the full membership. All 2021 amendments and resolutions can be found below.

The timeline and process for reviewing and voting is as follows:

September 13: All amendments and resolutions posted to the NLG website and sent to members.

October 10: Deadline for members to contact proponents to 1) add themselves or their Guild entity as endorsers, or 2) offer friendly amendments to the proposals to be incorporated before the plenary (NOTE: proponents may decline to accept friendly amendments).

October 15: Final version of amendments and resolutions will be posted to the NLG website and sent to members.

October 16: Governance plenary at the convention. Proponents will present amendments resolutions and answer clarifying questions. All voting will take place online after the plenary.

October 31: Deadline for Guild members to send pro or con statements to resolutions@nlg.org to be posted to the NLG website and included in the voting survey.

November 3: Voting begins. All current NLG members will receive a voting link by email (instructions to submit a paper vote will be included).

December 15: Voting ends.

December 22: Results posted to the NLG website and sent to members.
