Updates on Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
This past August, the Portland chapter hosted a CLE providing tips and tricks for building a civil rights case from the ground up. NLG members Ashlee Albies, Jessie Merrithew and Michael Fuller, all highly experienced litigators, spoke to a group of about twenty people composed of lawyers and law students. The panel went over strategies for constructing a Section 1983 civil rights or state law tort case. Each share shared the first steps they take after accepting the case and filing suit. The panel was hosted at the Oregon Justice Resources Center office.
