The Executive Board of NLG-LA is elected by the organization’s membership and is responsible for fundraising and governing the organization’s finances, operations, and programmatic work. The Executive Board meets bi-monthly to discuss the organization’s business and programs and communicates regularly with the membership. Many of our Board members are members of the organizations and associations we work with or are members of the communities of color most impacted by our country’s systems of injustice. Our Board members participate in the Guild’s programmatic work through their membership on committees or special projects.
The NLG-LA Board meets via Zoom on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 PM. All members are welcome to join!
Complaint Procedure
Anyone, NLG member or not, who has a complaint about any member, Board member, services, or anything else provided to them by NLG or anyone acting on behalf of NLG, except for law enforcement officers and persons accused of harassing NLG-LA legal observers, may email the Board at board@nlg-la.org about the complaint. The complaint will be communicated to the Board during an executive session. If the Board determines that further investigation is necessary, it may appoint a person or committee to investigate the complaint and report back to the Board, where the Board may take such action as it deems appropriate.
