Lawyers Heading Back to LAX to Aid Travelers Caught in Reinstated Ban<\/h2>\n

Thursday, June 29, 2017<\/em><\/p>\n

In response to the Supreme Court\u2019s decision to partially reinstate the Trump administration\u2019s Muslim travel ban, attorneys from Public Counsel, the ACLU, Immigrant Defenders, One Justice, Asian Americans Advancing Justice \u2013 Los Angeles (AAAJ-LA), Greater Los Angeles office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA) and the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) will be stationed at LAX Thursday when the Muslim ban is expected to take effect.<\/p>\n

Attorneys will be assessing any impact on travelers who are seeking entry into the United States through Customs and Border and Protection at LAX.\u00a0 They will be joined by organizers and activists who will be providing support to families who may be waiting for their loved ones and information on the Muslim ban, and demonstrating against the discriminatory action.<\/p>\n
