The Executive Board of NLG-LA is elected by the organization’s membership and is responsible for fundraising and governing the organization’s finances, operations, and programmatic work. The Executive Board meets bi-monthly to discuss the organization\u2019s business and programs and communicates regularly with the membership. If you are interested in joining or getting in touch with the Board, please email board@nlg-la.org<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Many of our Board members are members of the organizations and associations we work with or are members of the communities of color most impacted by our country\u2019s systems of injustice. Our Board members participate in the Guild’s programmatic work through their membership on committees or special projects.<\/p>\n

The NLG-LA Board meets via Zoom<\/a> on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 PM. All members are welcome to join!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Complaint Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone, NLG member or not, who has\u00a0a\u00a0complaint\u00a0about any member, Board member, services, or anything else provided to them by NLG or anyone acting on behalf\u00a0of\u00a0NLG, except for law enforcement officers and persons accused\u00a0of\u00a0harassing NLG-LA legal observers, may email the Board at board@nlg-la.org<\/strong> about the\u00a0complaint. The\u00a0complaint\u00a0will be communicated to the Board during an executive session. If the Board determines that further investigation is necessary, it may appoint\u00a0a\u00a0person or committee to investigate the\u00a0complaint\u00a0and report back to the Board, where the Board may take\u00a0such action as it deems appropriate.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
