Join us for the 2024 NLG #Law4ThePeople Awards on Saturday, November 2! At our annual awards celebration, the National Lawyers Guild will honor members and allies for their extraordinary commitment to our mission of human rights and the rights of ecosystems over property interests.

The 2024 #Law4thePeople Award will go to Palestine Legal, for their incredible work supporting the movement for Palestinian rights. Palestine Legal provides legal advice, Know Your Rights trainings, advocacy and litigation support to college students, grassroots activists and affected communities who stand for justice in Palestine and has been a long-time partner of the NLG.

We will also be honoring Julie Hurwitz with the Ernie and Bill Goodman Award for her career-long commitment to public service as a trial attorney, law professor and author. Shivani Parikh will receive the C.B. King Award for her service as Co-Chair of the Fordham Law NLG chapter, leadership in the International U.S.-Cuba Normalization Conference, and her part in co-founding the South Asian Legal Defense Fund. The Karen Jo Koonan Award will be presented to Katie Yow for her inspiring work organizing NLG chapters in North Carolina, dedication as the Southern Regional Representative, and expertise on the Mass Defense Steering Committee.

Tickets are included with Convention Registration.
