Timothy Lunceford has been a member of the National Lawyers Guild since 1998. He joined following a Matthew Shepard vigil which turned to chaos when police attacked a crowd of 5,000 demonstrators. As an NLG legal worker, he became active in the Mass Defense Committee and worked a summer at the NLG’s New York City chapter office. There he met late Guild luminary Arthur Kinoy and had the privilege of discussing with him the threats facing the civil liberties of all Americans. Timothy has legal observed at hundreds of demonstrations. He is also a global human rights advocate.
