At the 2012 Law for the People Convention in Pasadena, the National Executive Committee (the NLG’s board of directors) voted unanimously to adopt a sexual harassment complaint policy. The policy covers a range of forms of harassment, including but not limited to unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual and/or coercive nature. The policy also creates an Anti-Harassment Complaint Board, which is charged with reviewing and resolving confidential complaints arising under the policy.
For more about the policy and the inaugural run of a convention harassment hotline, see the Winter 2012 issue of Guild Notes.
The full policy is available to read here.
