Last week was a busy one for civil liberties in Congress. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) was passed in Senate, and an amendment to the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) was voted out of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
CISPA was reintroduced in the House on February 13th, by the same sponsors as last year. Currently, there are letters of support from companies like AT&T and IBM, but opposition among civil liberties advocates remains strong.
