2011 Proposed Bylaw Amendments and Resolutions

At the 2011 Law for the People Convention, which will take place October 12-16 in Philadelphia, we will consider seven resolutions and three bylaw amendments. The text of all resolutions and amendments can be found here.

1. Resolution to 2011 National NLG Convention to Endorse National Hyatt Boycott

2. Resolution for Clarifying Planned Giving and Bequest Allocations Between the National Organization and Chapters

3. Resolution Calling on Congress, the President, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to Adopt the Administrative Procedures Act in Federal EEO Hearings

4. Resolution on Solidarity with Puerto Rico

5.  Resolution Condemning the Attacks on the Independent Trade Union Movement and Freedom of Association in Mexico

6. Resolution on the Korean Peace Project and Related Reports

7. Resolution for NLG Participation in Local Publicizing and Reporting Under UN Human Rights Treaties

8.  Bylaw Amendment: amending the Bylaws to add section 12.4

9. Bylaw Amendment: rescinding section 12.2 and 12.3

10. Bylaw Amendment: Section 3.1

11. Emergency Resolution in Support of Labor’s Call for Protests on December 3
