Biography
Thom Cincotta directs a research project on Domestic Surveillance and Political Repression at a Massachusetts-based progressive think tank called Political Research Associates (www.publiceye.org). This project explores the impact of the expanding domestic security bureaucracy on civil liberties. Thom’s legal background includes criminal defense, immigration law, and protest cases. He graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 1999 and helped lead the Colorado Chapter of the Guild for ten years. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Thom worked as a union representative for HERE Local 217 in Providence, RI. He is an avid woodworker and student of Italian.
