The National Lawyers Guild archives are managed by the Tamiment Library at New York University. Over 300 boxes of documents span the Guild's history, focusing on the court case National Lawyers Guild v. Attorney General, 1977-1989, which revealed that the Guild had been the target of a 40-year covert Federal Bureau of Investigation campaign of surveillance, infiltration, and intimidation. To view a description of the collection, visit the Tamiment Library Guide to Records.
If you are interested in viewing the collection in person, it is located at:
Elmer Holmes Bobst Library 70 Washington Square South New York, NY, 10012
